Japanese artist and interaction designer known for his innovative work in real-time graphics and immersive installations. Growing up in Brazil, Senegal, and Indonesia, he developed a unique perspective shaped by diverse cultural influences. He studied Visual Design in Kyoto and Interaction Design in the Netherlands, honing his skills in creating interactive experiences that merge technology and art.
Throughout his career, Takuma has worked on international projects and collaborations. In 2019, he was selected as the first Japanese creator for Adobe’s Creative Residency, where he developed notable installations that gained significant attention. He has also been associated with CEKAI Kyoto and the technical collective BASSDRUM, contributing to numerous visual and interactive projects.
His work explores the relationship between visuals, sound, space, and human interaction, with a focus on real-time audiovisual generation. In Flying Tokyo 2024, he developed [auve], a custom system that allows him to generate both audio and visuals simultaneously, breaking conventional workflows in audiovisual performance. This pursuit of total creative control lies at the core of his artistic practice, redefining how sound and visuals interact in real time.
His passion for integrating technology and art continues to drive his work, pushing the boundaries of how we perceive and interact with digital media.
